İstanbul dental chamber was established in December,1985, after theTDA’s law no:3324 was inured.

1^st Ordinary General Meeting

Dr. Manisa has become the first President of the İstanbul Chamber of Dentists

İstanbul Chamber of Dentists is the biggest one of 33 chambers, which composes the Turkish Dental Association, and with the 6564 members it has the 1/3 part of the all the Turkish Dentists. Our chamber still continues its studies on its own building in Harbiye.

İstanbul Chamber of Dentists Directory Board has nine members. The Board of Directors is elected every 2 years in April. In these elections, a Supervisory Board consisting of three members, a Disciplinary Committee consisting of 5 members and the delegates of 10 members of the TDA who are representing our Chamber and voting are also selected. Inspection Board audits all of the studies of Board of Directors. Disciplinary Committee decides on the investigations about members who act contrary to the Health Legislation. İstanbul dental chamber continues its studies around Istanbul through 9 permanent, 3 temporary commissions and the 130 representatives of the county. In addition, three city representatives of the chamber are also located in Yalova. Furthermore, "Istanbul Local Student Council” is also supported by our chamber.

Istanbul Chamber of Dentistry has organized 10 International Dentistry Congresses in which dentists and the expert scientists from various countries have met. These Congresses were very successful on the both social and scientific basis and were always appreciated by the participants.

Our chamber publishes a magazine called DERGİ every two months and sends the magazine to the members for free. Additionally, one more magazine called “DİŞHEKİMLİĞİNDE KLİNİK” with fully scientific content is also published 4 times in a year.

• Provides to execute Dentistry working conditions in an ethical, deontological and scientific manner.
• Studies to adapt laws, regulations and guidelines about Dentistry to present day, and prepare new proposals when it is necessary.  
• Organizes seminars and conferences in order to adapt Dentistry to contemporary standards by following scientific and technological developments.
• Studies on educational activities for both children and adults in order to improve the Oral and Dental Health awareness of the society since its establishment in 1986.
