Visit by the İDO Board of Directors to the Provincial Health Directorate

The 21st Term IDO Board of Directors visited Provincial Health Director Assoc. Prof. Dr. Abdullah Emre Güner.

The visit was attended by Chamber President Prof. Dr. Olcay Şakar, Vice President Aret Karabulut, Secretary General Fatih Özçayan, Treasurer Funda Türkbay Fazlıoğlu, Board Members Şükrü Can Akmansoy and Deniz Koyuncu, and Audit Committee Member Assoc. Prof. Dr. Hüseyin Gürkan Güneç.

During the visit, a report containing evaluations and proposed solutions regarding the presentation of prepared oral and dental health services was presented to Assoc. Prof. Dr. Abdullah Emre Güner.

During the visit, in which the report’s contents were also discussed, the importance of coordinated efforts between the Istanbul Chamber of Dentists and the Provincial Health Directorate was emphasized. It was discussed that efforts could be made to have the Istanbul University Faculty of Dentistry (Çapa) located on the same campus as the Faculty of Medicine, and that this matter could be discussed with the Rector’s Office. Topics discussed during the visit included shortening the time required to prepare fire safety reports, issues faced by dentists employed in the public sector, the demands of DUS and doctoral students, the development of a constructive and guiding approach to resolving difficulties encountered during inspections, the difficulties dentists face due to urban transformation and licensing fees, as well as the full-time work law and signage standards—we believe that evaluating these topics, will be evaluated within the framework of continued cooperation and coordination with the Provincial Health Directorate, and we believe this will contribute to resolving the problems faced by our colleagues; we thank Assoc.
