At the Istanbul University School of Dentistry graduation ceremony, young dentists stood up for their profession and independence by holding their own ceremony in defiance of a mindset that sought to cast a shadow over their colleagues’ happiest day by imposing personal lifestyle demands.
The first step our young colleagues are taking into their profession is not merely a graduation; it is also the beginning of a new era in which they will face the challenges they will encounter in their working lives.
As the Istanbul Dental Association, we are committed to improving the labor rights of salaried dentists, ensuring humane working conditions, implementing fair wage policies, and protecting their leave and social rights—so that no colleague is forced to work under precarious conditions or without receiving fair compensation for their labor.
Our young colleagues should know that a strong professional organization stands by them, defending their rights at every stage of their professional lives.
